Classroom investigations with foam
The online starting points focus on the uses of foam.
In the classroom, children investigate how to make foam and measure its 'foaminess' consistently, leading to a comparison between different bubble mixtures.
Other factors relevant to the making of a bubble bath mixture are then considered, including 'runniness', with an investigation into the use of thickeners. A full formulation is then prepared, based on the investigations, and the need to market a product based on reliable evidence is considered.
